Vancouver Gaelic Choir

For more than a century Vancouver has been home to people singing in Scottish Gaelic. Traditional forms of singing were preserved by individuals and groups at ceilidhs in their homes, or at ceilidh-concerts at the Scottish Cultural Centre and other venues. Unison choirs grew out of this tradition.

Entertaining Audiences Since 1983

The Vancouver Gaelic Choir has been entertaining audiences since 1983. We perform for community organizations at concerts, ceilidhs, festivals and cultural events in B.C. and beyond, singing, preserving and sharing the rich Gaelic musical heritage of Scotland and North America.

The choir has represented B.C. and Canada at the Royal National Mòd, Scotland’s premier Gaelic music festival, in 1985, 1988, 1993, 1997 and at the online Mòd in 2021.
